Should I check with you first?

A few people should call us first.

Heat and cold are the whole idea of CryoSlim. Please call the desk first if any of these is you:

  • You are very sensitive to cold, or the cold has ever given you hives or a reaction.

  • You have Raynaud's, or fingers and toes that go white or blue in the cold.

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please hold off for now.

  • You have a pacemaker or another active implant.

  • You have open wounds or a skin condition on the area you want to treat.

  • You have circulation problems of any kind.

We would rather talk it through first than have you guess.

What is CryoSlim?

A hot-then-cold treatment on the STAR T-Shock, made in Italy by Elettronica Pagani. A hand-held applicator moves over the area you choose: heat first, up to about +41°C, then cold, down to about −10°C. A session takes about 30 minutes, in a private room.

STAR T-Shock vs CoolSculpting: what is the difference?

They are different machines, and Genesis does not offer CoolSculpting, so we can only speak for ours: the STAR T-Shock goes hot first, then cold, through a hand-held applicator that keeps moving over the area, for about 30 minutes in a private room. This is about how a visit runs and feels, not about results. CoolSculpting is a trademark of its owner.

What does CryoSlim feel like? Is there downtime?

Is CryoSlim a kind of cryotherapy?

Yes, a local kind, with heat first. It is not a whole-body cold chamber: the hand-held applicator works on one area at a time, in a private room.

What are Cryo-Facials?

Hot, then cold, for the face. Ask the desk how a Cryo-Facial fits your first visit.
